Master Mixologist Andy Borbely from Seven Saints in Champaign shows us a unique liqueur only found at Seven Saints!

Which isn't exactly true, since it's also at Radio Maria.

First they try it straight, then Andy makes a martini. Pinnacle whipped vodka, grind, Baileys, then he adds a dash of bourbon. He tops it off with chocolate infused 30 proof whipped cream.

Andy pimps out Whiskey Wednesday. Tonight is Irish whiskey. You can try the Grind from 7 to 9 tonight at Seven Saints.

Wine forces public to pick a party

A Central Illinois winery is serving up a drink that both Democrats and Republicans can cheers to. The Walnut Street Winery in Rochester has created political wine.

Winery owner, Loren Shanle, says the red and blue sealed bottles have the same blush wine inside, but the labels make all the difference. One is sold as GOP wine with a cartoon elephant on front. The other, features a donkey. It's, of course, for the Dems.

If the wine sales are a reflection of next week's election results, the winery says Republicans have the upper hand.

"We've had people come in and say 'I like that wine'. I'll say 'Which bottle would you prefer?' I've had people say 'I'd rather not say.' One person last year said they were an Independent and the ladies poured out both," says Shanle.

Last year the Walnut Street Winery created "Barackoberry" wine. It never hit the shelves, however, because the federal government wasn't crazy on the idea of the President and alcohol being linked so closely.

Tires Slashed at Champaign Restaurant

Someone slashed the tires of several vehicles in Champaign Friday night.

It happened in the parking lot of Buttitta’s Famiglia Ristorante on S. Neil around 7:00 p.m.

Ten tires were damaged. There’s no information yet on who did it.

Police Officer Arrested for DUI

Officials are investigating a police officer who was arrested for driving under the influence Saturday.

Travis Burr is an investigator with the Champaign County Sheriff's Office. He is charged with a DUI and also failure to reduce speed.

He's on administrative leave during the investigation.

Champaign County Deputy Arrested for DUI

Tolono, IL- An investigator for the Champaign County Sheriff's Office has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested for DUI.

Deputies were called around 6:00 p.m. Saturday to a three vehicle accident south of Tolono. When they arrived, the deputies learned that an off-duty deputy with the Champaign County Sheriff's Office was involved in the accident.

Travis Burr of Sidney, who is an investigator with the Sheriff's Office, was arrested on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was booked in and processed at the jail and then bonded out.

The Sheriff's Office has requested copies of the State Police reports and the matter is under investigation.

Champaign County - An investigator with the Champaign County Sheriff's office is on administrative leave after an accident in which he is accused of drunk driving.

According to Sheriff Dan Walsh, Travis Burr of Sidney was off duty when he was involved in a three-vehicle property-damage accident at about 6:00 p.m. Saturday south of Tolono.

Burr was arrested for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

He is on paid administrative leave while the matter is investigated.

Wow, it's a 9 and a half minute clip.

The wines come from Le Lapin. The first is Ingenuity, which is a white wine. The guy from the show, doesn't seem to know how to sample wine. He gets the glass and just sort of pounds it. Sam is still smelling the wine, and the other guy has already finished his glass.

The second is Clairveaux, which is a red wine. Again, with the red, he kind of skipped the sniffing.

Apparently Le Lapin is $7.49 a bottle.

The next is a sparkling wine. I believe it's Fleur.

Car Break-Ins Increase in Champaign

Champaign Police want you to be on the look out for someone who's been breaking into cars.

In the last few weeks it's happened several times, most in broad daylight.

The majority of these break-ins are in public parking lots and the culprit is using bricks to break a window out.

It’s happened at several businesses in town since July 10-th.

Valuables were stolen out of the car and in some cases the thief went through the glove box.

Cash, credit cards, I-pods, wallets, even a phone charger was stolen.

So far no one has been arrested for these break-ins.

Champaign police are still investigating.

Locally the problem seems to be centered on Champaign.

We called Urbana police department.

Officers tell me they are not seeing the same problem there.
